Henry’s 4th and Fourth of July Week

Hey guys!

Hope all is well — and summer is treating you gooooood.

I haven’t been real bloggy on the blog lately. 🤪 These days, I am much more active over on Instagram if you want to see more of my day-to-day life! (In case you missed it, I’m hosting my next outdoor yoga class on Saturday, August 12 from 8-9am in Holden, MA! Check it out here.)

Anyway, I wanted to pop over to give a recap on Henry’s birthday (week), lol! Because his birthday is on July 4th 🎉, and Sam and I tend to take that week off of work, we end up celebrating our best boy lots! (I’m sure he loved it. 😅) It was a busy, fun, relaxing and memorable week.

Here’s a quick checklist of all the things we did around Henry’s birthday/July 4th week!

Henry’s 4th birthday party at home
Discovery Museum — Acton
Bowlero — Shrewsbury
Old Orchard Beach — Saco, Maine
✅ Beach day — Kennebunk, Maine
Southwick Zoo — Mendon

Not sure how we fit that all in, but we did. It was really nice to have so much consolidated family time.

I think Hen’s favorites were OOB (because of all the rides and games) and the zoo (he’s a bit obsessed with animals, hence the bday zoo theme)!

Side note: I’m pretty proud of myself for keeping things low-key for his birthday party. We kept the guest list as small as possible, which is hard to do… but personally, I find it way less draining and more fun to get to connect with more people by keeping it on the smaller side. The food was basic — pizza, veggies, fruit, chips, and cupcakes. Just a few games — the kids seemed to enjoy pin the tail on the zebra, the piñata, and my lil homemade scavenger hunt game.

Enjoy all the pics!
