What Sparked My ‘Fall Into You’ Wellness Retreat

One year ago, I was riding the high of my first wellness retreat held at the Phineas Wright House in Bolton, MA. It was called the “Here & Now” Retreat.

“Here & Now” was a passion project I had spent much of the spring and summer planning from the ground up — finding amazing workshop leaders, scoping out the best food in the area and laying out a detailed program to guide the entire day. I remember that time so vividly. Let’s just say I was wearing many hats. 😉

We were in the middle of a deep and stressful home search, I was pregnant with Ruby and I was working full time while balancing mom life at home with Henry. It was a busy time, to say the least.

I find that I’m most productive when I’m really busy. My friend recently shared the quote, “Need something done, ask a busy person” and wow, that resonated. When I’m at my busiest, I’m getting SO much done. It’s kind of amazing how that works. You make the time for what’s important to you.

Once the year mark hit for my first retreat, it really got me thinking. “Do I have time to do this again?” “Is there a want for another retreat?” “Where would I find this time?” Especially now with two little ones…

If this was something I was truly passionate about, I had to make the time. That was all there was to it. I’m sure you’ve heard the quote, “Beyoncé has the same 24 hours in the day that we do.” Hah. So true.

I’ve always wanted to start my own business. To be honest, I have sooooo many interests and no idea where to really begin with it. 🙃 How do I choose my niche when I want to do “everything”? For me, wellness retreats (and future workshops) really make the most sense for where I want my mission to go. They’re gatherings that connect all my favorite things: community, yoga, meditation, journaling, self-growth and food! Is this my niche? ☺️ Perhaps.

What started as a simple blog in 2017 showcasing my life in LA has now become a wellness brand — kinda? I’m still figuring it all out.

I just keep coming back to my goal as The Good Getter and it pushes me forward to the next thing:
This is a place for community and self-discovery, where “the good” is always front and center. Let The Good Getter propel you toward a new, gentler way of feeling and living!

Anyway… over the last couple months, I’ve been meeting and chatting with some amazing, inspirational people. I’ve talked to moms who run their own consulting businesses, women who lead community events, a small business that grow microgreens, and social media managers who really step outside the box with content creation and promotion. I was really moved by these conversations. With every person I talked to, I felt pushed to create again. To build something from the ground up. It felt like the right time to set a date and plan another wellness retreat. (Deadlines really help me succeed. 😂)

Insert my “Fall Into You” on October 1.

Knowing October was right around the corner, I quickly started brainstorming and feeling out my followers on social media. Would they be interested in this? What did they need? So many people responded. I felt the pull again. Such a good feeling.

Over the last couple weeks, I’ve gotten specific with what I want to offer this time around. A smaller, three-hour wellness retreat for those looking to reset their minds and bodies for the rest of 2022. So often we throw the towel in on our goals when this time of year hits. NOT this time! I’m so ready to help this group come together, grow, listen, explore and fine-tune what it is they’re looking to accomplish. I am positive that the day will help everyone refocus and align with their fullest potential.

So, yeah, that’s how this all came to be. 😊 I’d be so honored if you’d join me on October 1, right at my home in Holden, MA, for the coziest of retreats!

Free your mind.
